Management Development & Training

Management Development and Training (MDT) is a sub-component of Sector Development and Business Services component of SEDF. The purpose of this sub-component is to increase access and use of sector specific management training and Sector Development and Business Services by SMEs; and building the capacity of local service providers to offer such services in a sustainable manner.

In this, it follows a market-driven approach where the focus is on product and market development rather than subsidizing the transaction between the providers and SMEs.

Under this SEDF provides local firms and institutions with tools, contents, training and marketing to impart training and advisory services on a commercial basis to SMEs. SEDF also raises awareness in SMEs to the benefits provided by these Sector Development and Business Services. New content, programs and products are tested first and then scaled up.
