Business Linkages

Business Linkages is cross-cutting component for the 4 sub-sectors Ready Made Garments, Light-Engineering, Information Technology and Agri-business) of Sector Development and Business Services. The purpose of the component is to build capacity by strengthening the forward and backward linkages within the supply/value chains of the 4 sub-sectors.


The component is involved in the following activities to achieve its desired objectives:
  • Conduct supply/value chain analysis

  • Identification of all possible potential linkages (forward and backward) within the sectors

  • Identification of constraints and opportunities within the supply chain

  • Identification of service providers within the supply chain and their constraints and opportunities for value addition


  • Facilitate service providers, SMEs through Technical Assistance and Training
