Knowledge Center
The goal of the SouthAsia Enterprise Development Facility (SEDF) Knowledge Centers is to cater to the
information needs of the local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and service providers for business
resources, training and support. The Knowledge Centers combine business tools and resources, business
development information and a library. The Centers also house an International Finance Corporation (IFC)-developed
SME Toolkit.
|
The vision of the SME Toolkit is to leverage the
latest information and communication technologies to help SMEs learn and implement sustainable
business management practices. The Toolkit consists of four major components:
- An easy-to-use web interface that allows users to search or browse the content they need.
- A large set of best-of-breed articles, interactive tools, business forms, software, and
online training resources.
- A robust administrative content management tool.
- Training Curriculum available online as well as via CD-ROM.

being set up at the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). In Nepal, the SME Toolkit,
branded as Bizmantra , is managed and promoted by Elite Networks, a Nepali IT company.
